What drew me to Project ASPIRE was the unique opportunity to get additional training working with children with disabilities and to develop specialized skills needed to support them effectively.

Through this program, I will gain advanced, hands-on training in working with children with disabilities so I can better support their developmental, communication, and educational needs. I also hope to strengthen my skills as a clinician so I can serve as a more effective and informed speech-language pathologist. After completing my degree, my goal is to provide high-quality care to individuals across the lifespan in the San Antonio community. I hope to have the opportunity to work in different settings, such as hospitals, private clinics, rehab centers, and schools. I want to become a more informed clinician through experience in different settings, giving me a well-rounded understanding of the diverse communication needs of individuals at every stage of life.”

Fun Fact: “I’m a huge fan of movies and musical theater! I’m always looking for an excuse to go to the theater and check out new films, and I love going to the Majestic Theater to see the musicals that come to the city!
