“My motivation comes from the children I have worked with in my previous jobs, as well as from my desire to expand my understanding and eliminate any limits on how I can assist others. I aim to develop skills to answer the question, “How can I improve my care?”, and while it may be a question with endless answers, the work I do now will help shape how I address that question in the future. Ultimately, families and children trust their providers, and I hope to honor that trust based on the knowledge I have gained.”

“My career goals after finishing my degree are to work with the pediatric population. Currently, I am leaning toward working in schools or clinics that specialize in helping children with high needs in foster or kinship care. I believe the skills I can obtain from Project Aspire will help me become a better clinician with more expansive skills to assist any child and to remove any barriers to the care I can provide.”
